Archie McKinney

Archie Hulan McKinney, age 90, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Archie was born on December 15, 1928 in Pulaski County to the late Archie and Thelma Poynter McKinney.  He was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church.  He was a former employee of Tecumseh and veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his son, Bruce (and Carol) McKinney of Frankfort, KY; two brothers, Harvey (and Joyce) McKinney of Somerset and Don (and Margaret) McKinney of Somerset; one sister, Willene Latham of Somerset; one granddaughter, Amy (and Frankie) Miller; two great-grandsons, Jordan Miller and Logan Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Eva Abbott McKinney and she preceded him on January 22, 2003; his 2nd wife, Bernice Mize Miller McKinney, whom he married on February 19, 2004 in Gatlinburg, TN and she preceded him on May 8, 2013; and one brother, Eldon McKinney.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Barnett officiating.  Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Charles Latham, Kevin McKinney, Jason McKinney, Frankie Miller, Jordan Miller and Logan Miller.
