Benny Joe Jennings, age 61, of Nancy, KY, departed this life on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Benny was born on January 13, 1954 in Somerset, KY to the late Harvey and Ida Smith Jennings. He was a self-employed truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Gail Jennings; two sons, William Joseph Kelly Jennings, and Waylon George Henry Jennings of Nancy, KY; a daughter, Casey Ruby Maria Gail Jennings of Nancy, KY; a brother, Johnny Earl Jennings of Nancy, KY; three sisters, Helen (and Herman) Turner, Betty (and Steve) Cornett, and Gypsy (and Charlie) Price all of Somerset, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a son, George Jacob Dencial Jennings, three brothers, James Jennings, Harvey Jennings, and Kenneth Jennings; and two sisters, Imogene Turner and Ruth Jean Jennings.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 after 5:00 PM at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be performed by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
