Billy R. "Bill" Witt, age 71, of Nancy, KY passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Witt was born in St. Charles, VA on February 8, 1939 to the late Flemon and Georgia McClancy Witt. He was a Painter for Spencer Decorations, Air force veteran of the Korean War, former member of the Warren County Conservation Society, and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Witt is survived by his spouse, Marjorie Burnside Witt whom he married on December 30, 1958; a son, Jeffery Witt of Spring Hill, FL; 3 daughters, Kimberly and (John) Smith of Springboro, OH; Lori and (Shane) Kahle of Nancy, KY; Debra Witt of Middletown, OH; a sister, Linda Witt of Thompson, OH; 3 brothers, James and (Judy) Witt of Monroe, OH; Joe and (June Ann) Witt of Thompson, OH; John Witt of Mentor, OH; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Leroy Witt and Jack Witt, and infant sister; Charles Anna Witt.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 6:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. 1046 W. Hwy 80 Somerset, KY.
Funeral services for Billy R. Witt will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 1:00pm with Pastor John Zupancic officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
