Christine Epperson, 86, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on March 31, 1929, daughter of the late Luther and Zula Ping Eaton. She was a homemaker, a volunteer at the Pulaski Baptist Clothing Center and a very active charter member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Epperson of 68 years of marriage, two sons, Eddie & (Jody) Epperson of Somerset, David & (Gina) Epperson of Richmond, two daughters, Linda & (Onva) Hargis of Cincinnati, Ohio, Janice Epperson of Lawrenceburg, KY, two sisters, Faye Jones of Somerset, Glytus Abbott of Burnside, seven grandchildren, Debbie Wiles, Tim and Steve Hargis, Daniel, Aaron, Nathan and Caleb Epperson, fifteen great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bud, Vernon, Don Eaton and a sister, Geneva Ping.
A funeral service will be held at 8 PM Tuesday evening, March 29, 2016 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro's. Slade Moore and Vincent Carman officiating.
Visitation will be after 5 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens with the grandsons serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
