Wilma Fern Hainey Floyd passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Clark Rehab and Skilled Nursing in Clarksville, IN.
Fern was born in Mahomet, IL on July 28, 1935 to the late Arthur Hainey and Nellie Roy Hainey. She was a member at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Fern was a seamstress for the Palm Beach Company. She married Johnny Floyd, who preceded her in death. Fern enjoyed walking, cooking and playing the piano. She loved her family and truly enjoyed having her grandchildren come to visit her.
Fern is survived by three children: Michael Randall (Katrina), Wayne Randall (Michelle), all of Somerset, and Janet Whitaker (Myron) of Louisville. She is also survived by two sisters: Irene Baker of Atlanta, GA and Jean Wilson of Somerset, along with eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Fern is preceded in death by a son, Glen Randall and two brothers, Muriel Hainey and Harold Hainey.
Visitation for Wilma Fern Hainey Floyd will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 In the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory from 6 pm until 9 pm.
A Celebration of the Life of Wilma Fern Hainey Floyd will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory at 10:00 am with Brother Don Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
