Glenda Ann Campbell

Glenda Ann Campbell, age 82, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at her residence.

Glenda was born on January 2, 1942 in Crab Orchard, KY, the daughter of Abe Harrison Brown and Susie Barker Brown. Glenda was of Baptist Faith and has been actively involved in service to others, both at Mt. Zion Church of Christ and at Bradley’s Pleasure Baptist Church where she has been a faithful member for over 60 years.

She was an avid gardener who loved growing, cooking and canning vegetables, much of which she shared with others. Glenda made many quilts, which she also shared. Glenda loved to travel and she and Roger had traveled to almost all of the lower 48 states. Glenda worked both as a bookkeeper and teller at First & Farmers Bank, at the Somerset Branch and later at the Nancy Branch. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother……. We will miss her!!

She is survived by one son, Jody Campbell of Nancy, KY; one daughter, Ginger Elaine (and Vince) Stapp of Nancy, KY; six grandchildren, Ryan Stapp, Allison Stapp, Luke Campbell, John Campbell, Owen Campbell and Jason Campbell; her brother, Shirle Brown of Crab Orchard, KY; her sister, Dovie New of Somerset, KY; sisters-in-law, Fayrene Brown of Eubank, KY and Norma Brown of Cincinnati, OH; extended family members, church family, neighbors and friends who are saddened by her passing.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Donovan Campbell, whom she married on January 18, 1965 in Oneida, TN and he preceded her on April 14, 2020.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 on Friday, September 13th at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Stump officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
