Glenda Ellene Miller, age 85, of Ferguson, KY, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Glenda was born on March 29, 1932 in Somerset, KY to the late Herbert Theopolis Robbins and Bertha Poynter Robbins. She loved to sew, crochet and cook. Glenda was a loving and caring woman. Her faith meant everything to her. She was a member and attended Ferguson Baptist Church for 54 years as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by three daughters, Doretta Jean (and David) Lewis of Louisville, Terilla Joyce (and Gary) Risner of Somerset and Deana Denise Miller (and Robin Hall) of Somerset; one brother, Jerry Lee (and Charlotte) Robbins of Williamsburg, OH; one sister, Joyce (and Frank) Sutton of Somerset; five grandchildren, April (and Mark) Kirk, Angie (and Craig) Smith, Eric Mitchell (and Jamie) Randall, Amy (and Anthony) Benningfield and Steven (and April) Bates; ten great grandchildren, Randy (and Alexis) Smith, Autumn (and Chris) Hay, Matthew Kirk, Luke Kirk, Kane Cummins, Tori Randall, Austin Randall, Kaitlyn Bates, Lance Bates and Gavin Bates; one great-great grandson, Raiden Glen Smith; three sisters-in-law, Pearl Floyd, Alma Lee Brinson and June Hall; one brother-in-law, Larry Baize; host of special nieces and nephews and her church family; and very special longtime friends, Norma Jean Montgomery of Somerset, Ruthina Robinson of London and Mabel Jean Glidewell of Louisville.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Theodore Miller, whom she married on August 26, 1950 in Danville, KY, and he preceded her on September 22, 1998; four brothers, William Robbins, Sylvester Robbins, Denton Robbins and Edward Robbins; and three sisters, Wilma Jean Kennedy, Lois Baize and Geraldine Muse.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 12:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Moore and Bro. Steve Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will Eric Randall, Steven Bates, Randy Smith, Austin Randall, Kane Cummins, Matthew Kirk, Luke Kirk and Scott Muse.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Ferguson Baptist Church Building Fund.
