James Benge

James Huey Benge, age 68, of Nancy, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on February 7, 1948 in Nancy, to the late Homer and Maudie Perkins Benge. James is a veteran of the US Army, and retired from Cumberland Wood and Chair.

James is survived by his wife, Mary Diane Scrimager Benge, whom he married on February 22, 1969 in Science Hill, KY; a son, James Edward Benge (and fiancé Stephanie Dawn Wilson) of Nancy, KY; two sisters, Thelma (and Roger) Myers of Indianapolis, IN, and Mildred Denham of Somerset, KY; two grandchildren, Chris and Haylee Benge; two brother in-laws, Jerry and Terry Scrimager, both of Nancy, KY; three sister in-laws, Elgean Daulton of Somerset, KY, Shirley (and Ray) Wesley of Science Hill, KY, and Janet (and Ronald) Roberts of Nancy, KY; and his beloved Yorkie "Bella".

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur and Jesse Benge; a sister, Wilma Griffith; and two brother in-laws, Bob Denham and Gerald C. Daulton.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2016 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
