James Roberts

James Howard Roberts, age 77, of Somerset, KY passed away on Monday November 23, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born on February 11, 1938 in Leitchfield, KY, son of the late Howard Ransom and Virginia Ann Roby Roberts. James was a member of St. Mildred's Catholic Church and a former truck driver for Ready Mix Concrete.

He is survived by three sons, Jim Roberts (Diane) of Louisville, KY, Kevin Roberts (Teresa) of Lawrenceburg, KY, and Andrew "Andy" Roberts of Lexington, KY; one brother, Ransom Roberts (Ladonna) of Somerset, KY; three sisters, Sue Newell, Jane Roberts and Nell Roberts, all of Somerset, KY and six grandchildren: Kandice Roberts, Tanner Roberts, Jared Roberts, Kinsey Roberts, Haleigh Roberts and Josh Thomas.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters: Nancy Roberts Newton and Martha Roberts Dickerson and one brother: William "Bill" Joseph Roberts.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 27, 2015 after 6:00 PM at the St. Mildred's Catholic Church. A celebration honoring the life of James Howard Roberts will be held on Saturday November 28, 2015 at
10:00 AM at the St. Mildred's Catholic Church with Father Jay VonHandorf officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
