Janie Wilson

Janie “Geneice” Wilson, was born on September 22, 1960 in Somerset, KY. She was the daughter of Ernestine Marie Loveless and William Estoe Brown. Geneice entered into her eternal life surrounded by family on Saturday, April 24, 2021 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Geneice was of the Catholic faith. She loved doing things with her children and was always a strong and independent woman. Geneice never met a stranger and mothered you from the moment she met you.

She is survived by her life long, best friend and true soul mate, Andrea Meadors; her daughters, LaToya “Tia” Wilson, Tessa “Nikki” Ramos (and Oscar), and Seayara “Shelly” Wilson Palmer (and Nicholas); her sons, Davidde Wilson (and Shali), Bradford Wilson (and Mindy); David Wilson and Dustin Wilson. Geneice took extra pride in all of her grandchildren and loved them tremendously. She will forever be missed by: Haven Storm, Migual, Alex “Duckie”, Eli, Sofie B, Angel, Kazmira, Caleb, Aiden, Nolan, Logan, Lexi, Olivia, Emma, Nicholas “Gordo”, Zofear, Inasent, Brea, Dina, Envy, Luna, and pending arrival of Leo Gene. Geneice also had two special daughters, Sasha Wilson (Seth Wilking) and Savina Barbazote Hawkins and two special sons, Greg Wiles and Bobby Mounce; a special friend, Kahy alcorn. She had many nieces and nephews that brought joy to her life including a special niece, Ruth “Sissy or Deroot” Smith.

Geneice was welcomed home by her mother, Ernestine Marie Loveless; her father, William Estoe Brown; her first love, Bradford Matthew Wilson; brothers, Herbert, Everett, George, Billy, Lonnie, and David and sisters, Shirl and Barb.

Geneice never judged anyone and would want to be surrounded by everyone she loved and knew. Geneice “our mommy” will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens
