Lewis Edward Shadoan, age 93 of Somerset, KY passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab.
Lewis was born on December 29, 1928 in Somerset, KY to the late Norman and Clode Padgett Shadoan.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Shadoan Newman; one granddaughter, Ginger Jasper Thompson; a grand son-in-law, Shannon Thompson; one great-granddaughter, Zoey Thompson; two great-grandsons, Asher Thompson and Brayden Walker; a sister, Juanita (Edward) Coffey; two sisters-in-law, Louise Flanagan Dobson and Linda Sue Wilson Shadoan; a host of nieces and nephews, a fishing buddy, Bob Williams; and many other family and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Flanagan Shadoan of whom he married on June 21, 1947 in the home of Bro. Jones and they shared 70 years of marriage before her passing on December 5, 2017; a granddaughter, Leigh Anne Jasper Walker; his siblings awaiting him, Roy (Elizabeth) Shadoan; Lawrence Shadoan: Christine (Johnny) Nichols; Aline (Dudley) Yahnig; Norma (Robert) Hammond; and Roberta Shadoan; a brother-in-law, EC Dobson; sister-in-law, Glenda Flanagan Waters; and a son-in-law, Claude E. Newman, JR.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Langdon Street Baptist Church in c/o of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home P.O. Box 1441 Somerset, KY 42502.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Bro. James Floyd and Bro. Dan Brown officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bob Williams, Brayden Walker, Asher Thompson, Rhon Yahnig-Blevins, Gerald Nichols, and Curt Shadoan.
