Lucille May Dunlap, age 74, of Somerset, KY departed this life Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Dunlap was born in Nancy, KY on May 6, 1936 to the late John Saul Morgan and Bessie Marie Simpson. She was a homemaker, member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church, Burnside Women's Club, a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Republican Party and active in the Lincoln Club.
Mrs. Dunlap is survived by a son; Forrest Mark and (Lisa) Dunlap of Somerset, KY, a daughter; Cynthia May and (Rick) McKiddy of Somerset, KY; 2 brothers, Gene and (Doris) Simpson of Somerset, KY; Gerald Simpson of Nancy, KY; 3 sisters, Ann Taylor of Nashville, TN; Delores and (Jim) Taylor of West Chester, OH; Gertrude Burton of Columbia, KY; 4 Grandchildren, Delilah Megan Dunlap, Autumn Marie McKinley, Kelsea Madison Dunlap, Ian Mark Dunlap; a great-grandchild; Julius Ezra Godby; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Forrest Marvin Dunlap whom she married on November 3, 1958 at Steubenville Baptist Church in Wayne County, KY; a sister, Bettye Ruth Fulvio; 3 brothers, Ray Bailey, Floyd Bailey, Harold Simpson; and a step-father; Desmond Simpson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 5:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. 1046 West Hwy. 80 Somerset, KY.
Funeral services for Lucille May Dunlap will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 12:00pm with Bro. Ed Amundson officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
