Ronald Johnson

onald K. Johnson, age 71 of Nancy, KY passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center.  Ronald was born on February 12, 1953 at Jabez, KY to Garvil Johnson and Nerotha Lafavers Johnson.  He was of Baptist faith and was saved recently.  He loved his family and loved spending time with them as well as with friends, playing cards, and he enjoyed being outdoors.  Ronald was self-employed and worked as a roofer and as a woodcutter.

Survivors include one son, Jason K. Johnson (Melissa Layton), five grandchildren, Adam  Johnson (Ashley Surman), Bradley  Johnson (Amanda Gaddis) , Haylie Johnson (Greg Sizemore), Jacob Johnson and Allie Rose; twelve great grandchildren, Seraha, Nevaeh, Evyn, Cason, Tanner, Kinsley, Conner, Harmony, Aurora, Asher, Gracelynn and John ; four brothers, Roger (Shirley) Johnson of Nancy, Robert Johnson of Nancy, Roy D. (Pam) Johnson of Somerset and Royce Johnson of Bloomington, IN; three sisters, Reda McGowan of Nancy, Rebecca (Donnie) Hardwick of Nancy and Lois (Randy) Mofield of Nancy;  extended family members, neighbors and friends who are saddened by his passing.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Garvil and Nerotha Johnson; the mother of his child, Barbara Daulton Johnson; and one brother, Russell Johnson.

Visitation for Ronald K. Johnson will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  The Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, Feb 28th at 1:00 pm the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Decker officiating.   Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
