Russell Taylor, age 50 of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Thursday, October 14, 2010.
He was born on March 7, 1960 in Rockcastle County, KY to the late Denver and Mildred Imogene Whitaker Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a truck driver for Garner Trucking Company and a member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church. He loved horses.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Peggy Carrier Taylor, whom he married on April 9, 1998 in Harrodsburg, KY; a son, Daniel Keith of Eubank, KY; five daughters, Renee Taylor of Eubank, KY, Alicia Estridge of Mt. Vernon, KY, Anita Dishon Ledbetter of Somerset, KY, Tammy Stifanick of Burnside, KY, and Sondra (and Keith) Brent of Waynesburg, KY; a brother, Linn (and Joann)Taylor of Shopville, KY; a sister, Barbara (and Joey) Hines of Eubank, KY; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three nieces; and sister-in-law, Sandra Taylor of Somerset, KY.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Denver Lee and Ray Taylor.
Visitation for Mr. Taylor will be Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, KY.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 18, 2010 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for Mr. Taylor will be James Marriott, Eric Derringer, Dustin Marcum, Frankie Burkett, Dewayne Gossett, and Ricky Lee.
