Ryan Michael Ray, age 26, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019.
Ryan was born on November 6, 1992 in Somerset to Michael Steven Ray and Cynthia Jo (Tucker) Ray. He was a Forklift Operator for Eagle Hardwood. Ryan was a 2011 graduate of Southwestern High School where he played baseball. He loved the outdoors, kayaking, four-wheeling, riding his bike and hunting. Ryan also enjoyed going to the gym and playing with his son, Hunter. He had a lot of good friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Megan Brooke (Mounce) Ray, whom he married on June 25, 2016 in Destin, FL; one son, Hunter Keane Ray of Somerset; his parents, Michael and Cynthia Ray of Somerset; one brother, Jordan Ray of Somerset; two sisters, Lillie (and Kyle) Wethington of Eubank and Melody Mounce of Somerset; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Sherri Mounce of Somerset; paternal grandparent, Dorothy Ray of Indianapolis, IN; maternal grandparents, Karma “Lee” and Ethel Tucker of Somerset; brother-in-law, Josh Mounce of Tampa, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Ray.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Darvie Fenison officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brandon Colyer, Jordan Ray, Travis Strunk, Trevor Herd, Chris Boston, Payton Ivey, Bradley Logsdon and Tyler Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Stringer and Richard Tucker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hunter Ray in c/o: Cumberland Security Bank, P.O. Box 70, Somerset, KY 42502 or you may stop by any local Branch in Somerset.
