Sylvia Sue Crawford Roth, 78, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 14, 1938; daughter of the late Milton Thomas "M.T." Crawford, Jr., and Jospehine Beatrice Keyes. She attended Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, W.V.; Sue also played in a local band named the Swinging Shepherds where she was the organist and vocalist. Sue was a board member of Somerset Independent Schools where she held every position except president, member of the Somerset Garden Club where she held all offices including District Director; She worked as a bailiff for the Pulaski Co. Sheriff's Department for four years, member of the Democrat Womens Club, Vice Chairman and Board Member of the County Democrats for Gov. Martha Lane Collins.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Weddle and Toni & (David) Wade, both of Somerset; six grandchildren, Adrian Baldwin, Katy Gibson, Matthew Roth, Kelly Hale, Chad Shoemaker, and Lauren Hale; and five great-grandchildren, Kollin, Hannah, Isaac, Aubrey, and Carter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Lee Roth whom passed away on July 10, 2007; her parents, Milton Thomas "M.T." and Josephine Keyes Crawford.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at First Christian Church with Bro. Steve Lesher officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for Sue Crawford Roth will be after 11 AM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at First Christian Church until time for services.
