Virginia Henderson

Virginia Henderson, age 93 of Nancy, KY, departed this life on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on June 1, 1917 in Pulaski County, KY, the daughter of Christopher C. and Bannie Cain Calhoun. Mrs. Henderson was a retired cook for Nancy Elementary School and a member of White Oak Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by three sons, Russell Henderson of Nancy, KY, Larry (and Diane) Henderson of Franklin, TN, and Roger (and Debbie) Henderson of Wayland, KY; four daughters, Barbara Fox of Nancy, KY, Marjorie (and Ken) Holloway of Loveland, OH, Janet Linville of Georgetown, KY, and Donna (and Chuck) Watson of Georgetown, KY; a sister, Juanita Daulton of Indianapolis, IN; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Rev. Frank Henderson, whom she married on December 10, 1935; in Somerset, KY; two sons, Hughie and Joseph Henderson; four sisters, Regina, Eugenia, Ruby, and Bonnie; and three brothers, Linville, Herbert, and Denzil.
Visitation for Mrs. Henderson will be Thursday, July 15th at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 16th at the White Oak Baptist Church, Nancy, KY with Bro. James Floyd, Bro. J.S. New, and Bro. Reggie Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
